Here at The 21 Edit, we’re all about getting that glow thru the inner work – eating well, moving your body, smiling more, exuding joy… but let’s face it, that is easier said than done and we often need an instant, easy fix.
We are frequently asked about our skin routine and I am finally owning up to my quick, secret weapons. All clean product, good for you and for that immediate and long-term luminosity.
1 – Barbara Sturm – Glow Drops – $145
It was love at first bottle. Talk about patting a couple drops over your moisturizer and running out of the house sans makeup or simply dabbing over makeup for a brushed-up, dewy glow. Either way, these drops are magical, skin-perfecting, pore-minimizing, brightening and good for you. Loaded up with incredible ingredients, fabulous for long-term skin health such as Purslane and Sweet Almond Oil, we can’t live without it. Patting it on feels like adding the Zoom perfecting filter on.
2 – RMS Beauty – Magic Luminizer – $38
Made with organic coconut and castor seed oil, this is your ultimate skin enhancer. This little potent bottle lives in our bags and was our first investment into a good-for-you luminizer. EVERY single time we have it on, people stop and ask us about our skincare… because that’s the beauty of this one – it gives you an enhanced glow, without making it obvious you have makeup. The Magic Luminizer is our personal favorite shade of the bunch, but check out all and play around with them against your skin tone. We dab these above our cheekbones, underneath our eyebrows and on the bridge of our nose.
3 – Westman Atelier – LIT UP Stick in Nectar – $48
Nectar is the brand’s “Glassy Golden Peach Tone”, but Westman Atelier provides 3 different shades of their LIT UP Highlight Stick to give your skin a facial-fresh glow and highlight any and every complexion. The shades are gorgeous and gives you a just-off-the shower, perfect skin shimmer. Additionally, this super silky highlighter stick is loaded with hyaluronic acid and Vitis Vita Grape Extract to detoxify skin cells, promoting the production of the skin’s own collagen. Looking good and doing good at the same time!
4 – SAIE – Glowy Super Gel – $25
We use SAIE when we want an all-over glow vs targeting select spots on our face, as we do with Westman Atelier and RMS Luminizers. Our favorite way to incorporate SAIE’s glowy super gel is to mix a tiny bit with our foundation or tinted moisturizer and get an all over glow when our skin in general is dull or dry and then softly target our cheekbones, etc. with the highlighter sticks mentioned in this story.
